The Incident
We were instructed by a 41-year-old carpenter following a catastrophic fall from scaffolding on a commercial construction site in Sydney. Our client was performing carpentry works at height using a mobile scaffolding erected by his employer.
Unknown to him, the scaffolding had not been properly installed or inspected. While carrying out his duties, the structure failed and he fell approximately four metres onto a concrete surface. Emergency services attended the site, and he was transported to hospital in a critical condition.
