The Incident
We were instructed by Nick, who suffered serious injuries while working on a construction site. During his work, a level of the construction structure collapsed beneath him, causing him to fall approximately four metres to the level below. The incident occurred in circumstances where workers were entitled to expect that the site would be properly managed and maintained in a safe condition.

As a result of the fall, Nick sustained a significant lumbar spine injury and a left shoulder injury. He also suffered minor hearing loss and experienced an aggravation of his pre-existing hypertension and diabetes.
